Spree Event on June 13, 2026

On Saturday, June 13, we invite you to join us in sending a strong message under the slogan “Save our Spree,” alongside numerous initiatives, clubs, environmental organizations, research institutes, and art projects.

The Spree is drying up and becoming increasingly polluted—yet we draw nearly two-thirds of our drinking water from it. While households are being urged to conserve water, large corporations continue to consume and pollute millions of cubic meters of water. It’s time for us to fight back!

Our goal is clear: We want to protect the Spree’s ecosystem, preserve our drinking water, and make the Spree a place where people can experience it as a public space. This requires more countervailing power against politics and corporations—and strong collaboration among everyone committed to the river.

On June 13, starting at 2 p.m., we want to do exactly that: make ourselves visible, network, and make our voices heard. With art installations, live music, scientific presentations, panel discussions, pavilions, information booths, workshops, and food—for everyone who wants to learn, share ideas, or simply be there. More details on the exact location will follow.

Join us—help shape the day of action!

Would you like to participate with your own initiative? There’s still plenty of room to get creative—just email us at kontakt@saveourspree.org and share your ideas.
